Are you considering trying a HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is a popular skincare treatment that uses a patented technology to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate the skin. The duration of results from a HydraFacial treatment can vary depending on several factors, such as the individual’s skin type, lifestyle habits, and skincare routine. Saltair Spa’s highly trained skin therapists have answered some of our clients most frequently asked questions.
HydraFacial is available at Saltair Day Spa Port Melbourne and Saltair Health Spa Torquay.
- I have acne prone skin; can I have a HydraFacial?
HydraFacial can help to improve the appearance and health of acne-prone skin by addressing multiple factors that contribute to breakouts, including excess oil, clogged pores, dead skin cells, and environmental damage. With a combination of exfoliation, extraction and hydration, the HydraFacial is an incredible treatment for healing and preventing acne.
- Is a HydraFacial good for mature skin?
A HydraFacial Treatment is great for Mature skin! The last step of solution infusion contains a bunch of antioxidants which a mature skin can benefit from, alongside hydrating ingredient hyaluronic acid which helps to plump the skin. You will leave with hydrated, radiant, youthful looking skin. Paired with LED this is the ultimate anti-aging treatment.
- Can I have a HydraFacial if I have Botox/filler?
Yes, you can! You will get better results from your antiwrinkle/filler treatments coming in for regular treatments as the HydraFacial will hydrate and plump the skin giving you a healthy youthful skin result. We require 2 weeks post injectables for any facial services. Consult with your cosmetic nurse/injector at time of appointment for their recommended time between treatments.
- How often can I get a HydraFacial?
We recommend treatments every 4-6 weeks based on your skin concerns and lifestyle availability. By doing so, the skin can maintain its healthy and radiant appearance, as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. Consult with a Saltair Therapist for the best treatment plan tailored for you.
- How long do the benefits of a HydraFacial last?
Our clients notice the benefits last beyond the day of the treatment with the HydraFacial Glow lasting for at least 2 weeks. It is important to note that the longevity of HydraFacial results also depends on how well you take care of your skin after the treatment. Following a proper skincare routine, avoiding harsh skincare products and environmental factors such as sun exposure and pollution, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help to extend the results of your HydraFacial treatment.
- I have very dry skin; would a HydraFacial help my skin?
Yes, a HydraFacial is a great way to improve the health and appearance of dry skin by providing deep hydration and nourishment, while also addressing other factors that can contribute to dryness and flakiness. It is important to note that to maintain the benefits of the treatment, it is recommended to follow a good skincare routine at home and use moisturising products regularly.
- Will my skin peel after a HydraFacial?
Your skin will not visibly peel or shed after this treatment; the extraction step will remove any dry surface level skin to reveal a fresh dewy glow. The finishing Hydrating Solution will plump and hydrate the skin for ultimate skin health- when your skin is hydrated, it will function at its best!
